Media Studies Conference
The next Media Studies Conference 2009 takes place July 1-3 2009.
Reframing Literacy: the conference
Following the impact of BFI's work with local authorities across England introducing film into literacy classrooms, we celebrated and shared the outcomes in a two-day conference at BFI Southbank. We had keynote presentations from Cary Bazalgette, primary polymath Tim Rylands, and scriptwriter and novelist Frank Cottrell Boyce. There were workshops run by teachers, literacy advisors, animators and film practitioners. The conference was run in conjunction with the UK Literacy Association.
