Decasia
Bill Morrison's marvelous, strangely beautiful debut feature.
Set to Michael Gordon's dissonant score, Bill Morrison's marvellous debut feature is a collage of archive footage in various states of decay, creating a nightmarish view of the world we inhabit.
Decasia
Film itself is famously fragile, unstable and vulnerable to time. Set to Michael Gordon's disquietingly dissonant score, Morrison's marvellous debut feature is a collage consisting entirely of nitrate-based archive footage in various states of serious deterioration. A strangely beautiful film full of mysterious transformations and ghostly epiphanies, it makes one thankful that the miraculous, nightmarishly Protean universe on view is not, in fact, a properly representative record of the world we inhabit.
