Rediscover David Lean

Due to the ongoing refurbishment of the Mezzanine area, 'Passionate Encounters' has been replaced by a display of David Lean film posters and sketches. There is also a display of sketches from Lean's Nostromo project in the Atrium.

Due to the ongoing refurbishment of the Mezzanine area, 'Passionate Encounters' has been replaced by a display of original David Lean film posters and production design sketches by John Box and John Bryan for films such as A Passage to India, Great Expectations, Doctor Zhivago and Lawrence of Arabia. This display is complemented by one entirely dedicated to Lean's unfinished film Nostromo taking place in the Atrium. Nostromo is explored through John Box's production designs for the film selected from BFI Collections.
